Return Policy

Island Music Store – Return & Exchange Policy

Product Inspection Period (Online Purchases)

According to the Consumer Protection Act, customers are entitled to a 7-day inspection period (starting from the day after the product is received, including holidays).
If you wish to return a product, please email contact@islandmusictw.com within 7 days of receiving your order, providing the following information:

  • Name

  • Order number

  • Contact phone number

  • Product name for return

  • Reason for return and photos

Our customer service team will reply within 3 business days to assist with your return/exchange. If you do not receive a reply within 3 days, please contact us again.

⚠️ Please note: The inspection period is not a trial period. Products with packaging that has been opened cannot be returned.


Sheet Music, Books & Picture Books – Return & Exchange Policy (Online Purchases)

Due to intellectual property concerns:

  • Digital sheet music, e-books, and electronic picture books: Non-returnable once downloaded.

  • Physical sheet music, books, and picture books: Can be returned within 7 days if kept intact and unused, without writing, folds, or damage. Items showing signs of use (writing, folds, marks, or other damages) cannot be returned.


Return Conditions (Online Purchases)

Returns are not accepted under the following conditions:

  1. Exceeding the 7-day inspection period.

  2. Products that have been opened or damaged due to human factors (e.g., dirt, scratches, wear, or malfunction).

  3. Incomplete packaging, missing receipts, or missing accessories.

  4. Malicious or excessive returns.

  5. Customized products requested by the customer.

  6. Newspapers, magazines, or audiovisual products that have been opened (according to the “Guidelines for Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal in Distance Sales,” these are not covered by the 7-day inspection period).


Shipping Fees (Online Purchases)

Return shipping costs must be borne by the customer (except in cases of defective or incorrect items).


Return Process (Online Purchases)

  1. Email our customer service.

  2. Confirm eligibility for return/exchange.

  3. Prepare the product and invoice.

  4. Return according to the original shipping method:

    • Convenience store pickup: Return via convenience store shipping; shipping fee borne by the customer.

    • Home delivery: We will arrange SF Express pick-up; shipping fee based on SF Express rates borne by the customer.

  5. Confirm logistics receipt → Return process complete.
