Friends at Last: Tuneful Rote Pieces for the Beginning Pianist is a collection of ten rote pieces woven into a story about what it means to be a friend. This format is perfect for a recital performance with a narrator telling the story and a group of beginning pianists performing the pieces. It is also provides supplemental repertoire for Piano Safari Friends and Repertoire Book 1.

ABOUT THE COMPOSER

Amy Glennon is the Educational Director at The New School for Music Study (Kingston, NJ) and is a former faculty member at Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA). In her current position, Amy mentors faculty in the Postgraduate Teaching Program and has the opportunity to work with outstanding piano students of various ages and levels. Additionally, Amy is the Music Director of Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church.

Amy is an active writer, adjudicator, and presenter throughout the United States. She co-authored four duet collections comprising the Side by Side series, distributed by Alfred Publishing. Her teaching videos have been featured nationally in conferences, webinars, and online courses. Amy earned her master’s degree in Piano Performance from The University of Louisville, where she was a student of Lee Luvisi.
