Meet the author and illustrator

Alan Durant has written over one hundred books for children of all ages — from picture books to poetry to young adult thrillers. His picture books with Tiny Owl include Quill Soup and Human Town! He regularly visits schools, libraries and festivals in the UK and abroad, giving talks and running writing workshops.

Marjan Vafaeian is an award-winning illustrator from Iran. Her very unique art style is detailed and colourful, using ball-point pens to create the effect. Among the books Marjan illustrated for Tiny Owl are Cinderella of the Nile, and The Parrot and the Merchant.
